Weather: Fine then heavy rain

Distance Covered:

Early start to find Rhosy totally going off with about 10 people on the water by 9am. Wind was forecast to drop in the afternoon so everyone was going for it.
Swell was breaking all over the bay but not as heavy as it can get. Rigged up the 4.5 and took the wave board for it's first full-on session in the sea. Previously I've really struggled to get the wave board going but today I found the solution. The others I was sailing with were complaining saying it was too windy (they're never happy!) despite being on the same size sail or smaller sails than me. I think that my board takes about a metre off the sail size compared to my brother's Goya so it looks like I'll have to wait for a F8 before I get to use my 3.7m!
Tried a couple of back loops (still lacking the confidence to try a forward) and got some good height before landing about 3/4 of the way around. Need to watch my "Jump" video a few more times! I did manag to get my best airtime yet when I took a split second decision to hit a 3m high lump of swell that was steepening up to break. No idea how high I was but got a good view of the bay!
Rain kicked in at 2pm and the wind completely disappeared, fortunately I was already ruined so was very content with the early drive home.
